As a new practice, “Refacing”, defaces websites to critically re-situate brand ideologies and unveil externalities of conducting business. Like the Situationist Détournement, or the glasses in Frank Carpenter’s 1988 film “They Live”, Refacing reveals core business values that are otherwise obscured.
