The renowned auction house Bailey, Mathé & Hunt organized the world’s first digital artist auction during Art Hack Day "Going Dark" at LEAP in Berlin, September 28, 2013. 7 digital artist Facebook profiles were sold to an ecstatic audience. Facebook profiles are perfect digital artworks: uncopiable and intrinsic to many artists' practice. (Also, of course, people who need to 'go dark' are in dire need of an authentic online presence).
